Oldham Seals Swimming Club was established in 1910 with the primary aim of providing swimmers in the Borough of Oldham with the best training encouragement & motivation to bring out their natural ability and potential in order for them to be the best they can possibly be.

Children start at the club, usually between 6 to 8 years old, if you wish to enquire about joining, please read the following for a quick guide to joining.

Entry criteria to be considered for a trial, the swimmer should be :

Able to swim 200 Metres, capable of swimming 2 or 3 different strokes (Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke, Butterfly)

Able to skull (float on back and move without use of strokes)

Able to tread water for 1 minute

Costs

The Membership Page gives details of fees (Membership and ASA fees applicable)

Currently these are £38 for 8 year and under, £55 for over 8 year

Monthly Swimming fees depend on the swimmers ability and the number of sessions per week

Monthly fees are :

One Session per week £14.00 / Mo.  Two Sessions per week £18.00. Three Sessions per week £25.00

The club is currently running close to its maximum capacity, but we may be able to offer a trial on a Friday Session, after which you may be offered a place on in the club or offered a place on the waiting list.

 

Please note, the club is run by volunteers who give their time freely to support the club and the children.

Oldham Seals is a not for Profit organisation – all of the fees taken are used to run the club and provide activities for the children.
